Welcome Post: Mission Statement of this Blog

I decided it was necessary to turn to the only platform that traditionally has always worked well enough for me, in order to bring awareness to what I am doing, the products I make and am offering; not only to drive sales and interest in these things, but to educate the public about these not-so-conventional jewelry options which I take a great deal of pride in offering. I even may go into some of the "how I make these things".

This blog is intended to inform and educate on all aspects pertaining to jewelry, especially my handcrafted work. I am selling on Amazon, Etsy, and eBay; not all of my products are available on all platforms, yet. I am working on it, though. JewelryStoreShop.Com will take you to my main shop, which currently is on Amazon Handmade; that said, I fulfill all shipments myself so that everything ships on time, arrives early, and mistakes are NOT made. I've been selling online since 2005, and working with metals quite a bit earlier than that.

I will be posting about new products, the what's and why's, things you may want to know about them. This blog eventually will deal with every imaginable facet of what I do. I want to be able to answer everyone's questions before there is any chance to ask them.

This is a new blog at this point, a LOT of construction work is yet to be done on it, however, just because the blog itself isn't spit polished and looking fancy does not mean the posts I will make in the meantime are less valid, nor does it reflect on the quality of my craftsmanship; it only reflects on my having to multitask to an insane degree.

I am NOT one of those people who can have an idea, and millions of people flock to it. I just can't imagine having 1% of the good fortune the average internet entrepreneur has. I've even failed at launching kickstarters in the past. If I didn't know any better I would say the whole internet is rigged these days, but oh well, so what if it is. I have no choice but to push forward. The result is, my whole business is being built entirely from scratch, with literally my bare hands, and without any help at all really. Having the success I have had this past year is encouraging, sales are growing, customers are extremely happy with my work, it is a great feeling. I have very high quality standards. I have unique steps that impart unique levels of quality in my work that I do not see in other people's work.

I take pride in offering the highest possible quality for the fairest affordable price that I can. I am continuing to work on offering more variety so that there literally is something for everyone at any price point. But I don't believe in charging more for something just because someone out there will pay more for something. What I mean by this is, look at the automobile industry. General Motors sells affordable vehicles to people; but they will take basically the same thing, maybe put a nicer set of fenders on it with a better paint job, and triple the price and call it a Cadillac. I mean that's fine and well; but if I am going to charge more for something, I can only do that if the customer actually gets more of a product. My most expensive products right now barely head into the $100 to $200 range. I could possibly have a $1000 or $2000 ring offered this year; but guess what?! It will actually be a gold coin ring when I do.

Prices and availability are always subject to change at a moments notice on any of the items I am offering. If you see anything you like please keep that in mind. Over time, prices will head upward from where they are at now. I don't anticipate any big changes in the near future, but you never know given the metals markets being somewhat unpredictable.

If you want to stay informed, feel free to subscribe to this blog in the panel on the right, or feel free to bookmark this blog and check back now and then. I plan to post several times a week for the foreseeable future.

I want to thank all of you, especially my past, present, and future customers for taking the time to stop by my blog.

The upcoming posts are likely going to cover things like, "Why would I want or need a coin ring?" It is a good question, and I know many of you that never wanted one will look at them and probably think that very question. So, yes, I think that will be the subject of my next post.

For right now though, I need to finish getting this blog up and running, so that we can really dive into some important things.

One more thing... In lieu of a copyright notice, I will state the following:

Anything I write in this blog can be freely quoted if for some reason you need to use a paragraph or two for a project or something; but all I ask is that this blog be properly cited as the source. And please, if I am to be quoted, ensure that things are not taken out of context, thank you!

Oh, I suppose... You might wonder why "goldbarons"... I am a gold prospector, for most of my life I've enjoyed looking for and finding gold. There is nothing else like it in the world really. I am far from being a robber-baron lol, but that's where the baron portion of the nickname comes from. Baron as in someone who builds empires. So, I had to clear that up. It is one of those things that makes a lot of sense to me but might not to most everyone else.
